War Department, Office Chief of Cavalry, Washington, Nov. 12, 1938.
To: The Quartermaster General.

1. Reference: Letter QM 451. T-M (398-38-81) (Tr-1138), March 4, 1938, to CO, Holabird QM Depot, subject: Motor Transportation Tr-1138.

2. A Bantam 1/4 ton, 4 x 2, chassis was furnished the Cavalry Board, Fort Riley, Kansas, early in 1938 for test to determine its suitability for cavalry as a weapons or ammunitions carrier, a substitute for motorcycle with side-car, or for any other purpose.

3. The report of the Cavalry Board is approved. It is recommended that the Bantam chassis be considered unsuitable for Cavalry at this time.
